I have to say, watching the beginning of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7 was frustrating. Mary Cosby has just lost her son, Robert Jr. You would think that, for once, these women could put their differences aside and focus on being there for her. But Meredith Marks and Whitney Rose still seem caught up in the same old issues.
To me, it feels childish. Whatever somebody said last season should not be more important than showing up for a mother who is grieving. Iโm not saying everyone has to become best friends overnight, but can we at least read the room? Mary needs love and support right now.
Thatโs what worries me about where this show is headed. If the women keep bringing every old disagreement into every new moment, how are they ever going to grow? Sometimes you have to let the petty stuff go and be there for somebody when it matters.
And then there were the little jokes about Lisa Barlow. She had barely stepped into the house before people were talking about why she was sweating! Iโll admit, that moment caught my attention, but it also showed how quickly this group can turn anything into a dig.
I want to see these women come together for Mary. Losing a child is heartbreaking, and this should be a moment where compassion comes before the drama. Am I the only one who felt like Meredith and Whitney needed to put their issues on pause?
