Question ❓❓❓
“I’ve been hearing a lot of different opinions about whether women should wear head coverings, and it’s left me feeling confused. I genuinely want to live according to God’s standards and do what is right in His eyes. Can you help me understand what the Bible really says about this and whether I should be wearing a head covering?”

Answer 💡
As Christian women, we are called to live a life that reflects both humility and obedience — not only in our words, but in our actions, our appearance, and the way we represent Christ to the world. One powerful symbol of this obedience is the wearing of a head covering, particularly when delivering the Word or operating in spiritual gifts such as prophecy. It’s not merely a cultural or religious tradition; it is a biblical act of submission and reverence to God’s divine order.
In 1 Corinthians 11:5-6, Paul writes, “But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head… if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off.” This scripture reminds us that God cares not only about what we say, but how we present ourselves as vessels of His truth. Head coverings are not about control — they’re about reflecting a heart posture of humility, order, and respect toward God’s authority.
“Let me add this as well: God’s divine order is always intentional. He chose a virgin, Mary, for the birth of Jesus to symbolize purity and separation from worldly corruption. In the same way, when we are reborn in Christ, God desires that we come to Him free from the demonic and worldly ways that once held us. To truly help lead someone to salvation, you must first be cleansed yourself—free from the very things you’re trying to rescue them from.” “Ya Girl Renae”
When we deliver the Word or minister in any capacity, we should not give the world any reason to doubt our sincerity or our holiness. God has instructed us to “abstain from all appearance of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:22). This means that our lifestyle, dress, and behavior should always be in alignment with His standards — not the world’s. When we live carelessly or dishonestly, we confuse the Body of Christ and cause others to stumble.
Many women are being raised up in this hour to walk in spiritual authority, to prophesy, to teach, and to lead. But leadership in the kingdom is never separate from truth and integrity. “Be holy, because I am holy,” says the Lord (1 Peter 1:16). That holiness must touch every area of our lives — from how we speak, to how we dress, to how we give credit for what God has given others.
God detests dishonesty. Proverbs 12:22 says, “The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.” When we take someone else’s words, content, or anointing and claim it as our own, we are not just being dishonest — we are standing in direct opposition to God’s nature. God is not going to bless anything built on lies, deceit, or stolen glory. He is a jealous God and will not share His praise with another (Isaiah 42:8).
This is why I emphasize honesty so deeply. If we truly want to be used by God, we must live in full truth — not just before people, but before Him. You cannot operate in prophetic authority while living falsely, because what you do in secret will eventually be exposed. God desires transparency, purity, and righteousness. Let your entire life — your appearance, your words, your credit, and your calling — be rooted in truth.
Let us not confuse the Body of Christ, but instead be examples of clarity, honesty, and holy submission. In doing so, we honor God and show ourselves worthy vessels for His work.
