Scripture Focus: “He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” — Romans 8:32 (NIV)
Devotional:
If Jesus Christ could conquer death and bring life to your soul, why do we struggle to believe He can handle our rent, heal our bodies, or repair broken relationships? Far too many of us carry the name Christian, yet live with constant anxiety about whether God will come through. We believe in Him for salvation — the greatest miracle of all — but we question His ability to handle the everyday needs that weigh us down. Let’s be clear today: If Jesus can give you life, He can absolutely give you whatever else you need. God didn’t spare His only Son. He gave Him freely, knowing full well the cost. And if He would go that far for your eternal life, He won’t hesitate to help you in your temporary struggles.
The issue is not with God’s power — it’s with our trust. Somewhere along the journey, we’ve bought into the idea that we need to “figure it out” on our own. We hustle, panic, lose sleep, and question whether our prayers even matter. And yet, Jesus is standing right there, saying, “Cast your cares on Me.” What would happen if you stopped trying to solve everything by yourself and truly let God be God? Too often we place human limitations on a limitless God. We act as if our problems are too complex or too late for Him to fix. But remember, He spoke the universe into existence. He called Lazarus from the grave. He multiplied loaves and fish. He is not bound by time, money, or diagnosis. Maybe today you’re staring at a stack of unpaid bills. Or maybe you’ve got a doctor’s report that shook your faith. Maybe your family feels broken beyond repair.
I want to remind you that Jesus Christ is not just the Lord of salvation — He’s Lord over every single area of your life. Let Him be God in your situation. Stop limiting His involvement to just Sunday mornings or devotional time. He wants to be involved in your finances, your family, your decisions, your healing, and your peace. You don’t have to understand how He’s going to do it. You just have to believe that He can.
Reflection Questions:
What area of your life have you been struggling to trust God with?
Have you been treating God like a backup plan instead of the main source?
What does it look like to truly let go and let God be God?
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve doubted You. I believe You gave me life through Jesus Christ, and I believe You care about every need in my life. Help me to trust You fully and let You be God in every area. I surrender my situation to You, knowing You are faithful. In Jesus’ name, amen.
