Hello brothers and sisters,
This is Cynthia writing, and I wanted to bring to light something very concerning that I’ve been following closely in the news. Recently, President Trump expressed his desire to include China in nuclear disarmament talks alongside Russia and the U.S. But Beijing quickly shut down that idea, saying they would not participate.
Now, I’ve traveled to China before, walked the bustling streets of Beijing, and I can tell you from firsthand experience that China operates with a very long-term vision. Unlike the U.S., where leadership shifts every four years, China looks 50 or even 100 years into the future when making decisions. That’s why I find it very telling that they outright rejected Trump’s push for them to sit at the table.
Let’s break this down. The U.S. and Russia together hold nearly 90% of the world’s nuclear weapons. With Moscow recently pulling out of the last remaining arms control agreement in 2023, this already puts us in a dangerous place. And now, with China refusing to even entertain talks, it raises so many red flags.
Here’s where my mind starts to speculate. Could it be that China has a much larger nuclear arsenal than they admit publicly? Their official numbers are low compared to the U.S. and Russia, but who really believes that? I remember the secrecy I felt while traveling there—the government controls information so tightly that what we see in the West is only what they allow us to see. What if their stockpile is far more advanced and hidden than reported? And what if this refusal to negotiate is because they don’t want the world to know what they really have?
On the other hand, we can’t ignore Putin’s role here either. Russia is already showing its defiance, pulling out of agreements and flexing its military muscles on the world stage. When you put Russia and China side by side, both refusing cooperation, it paints a picture of a potential alliance that could one day stand against the U.S. and other nations. Could this be the beginning of a new “axis” rising? It’s not far-fetched when we look at the growing economic and military partnerships already forming between the two nations.
As a woman of faith, I can’t help but see prophecy unfolding here. In Matthew 24:6, Jesus said, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.” These headlines remind me of that verse. We are living in times where world powers are preparing their weapons while the rest of us watch anxiously. Yet, we must remember not to fear, but to trust in God’s sovereignty.
One conspiracy thought I can’t shake is this: What if these talks are just theater? What if world leaders already have backdoor agreements, and all of this “refusal” and “posturing” is meant to distract the public while something bigger is being set in motion? We, the everyday people, are often the last to know what’s really happening behind closed doors.
Brothers and sisters, my heart is heavy thinking about the future. As someone who has stood on Chinese soil, looked into the eyes of people who live under their regime, I know how determined that government is. They do not bend easily. And if they are stockpiling in secret while Russia grows more hostile, then the world is heading into uncertain times.
But let us hold fast to faith. The Bible assures us that no matter what nations plot and scheme, God’s plan will prevail. We should pray for wisdom, discernment, and protection in these days. And most importantly, we should remember that while nuclear weapons can shake the earth, they can never shake the Kingdom of God.
I’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you think China has more nuclear power than they admit? Do you believe Putin and Xi Jinping are quietly aligning their strategies? Or do you see this all as political theater meant to distract us from something else entirely?
In Christ,
Cynthia

I see things a little differently. I think a lot of this is theater. Politicians love to play tough in public while they make deals in private. Could be the U.S., Russia, and China already have an understanding we’re not privy to. That’s why I appreciate your “conspiracy” angle, because it’s not always conspiracy—it’s just hidden politics. Either way, the Bible already warned us this kind of stuff would happen. Like Jesus said in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
I’ve never been to China like you have, Cynthia, but I’ve always had the same feeling—that they think in terms of generations, not election cycles. That’s why we keep getting blindsided. They’ve been preparing while America has been distracted by entertainment and division. Personally, I believe Matthew 24 is unfolding right before our eyes. I’m not sure if they have more weapons than they admit, but I do believe these governments are setting the stage for a global power shift. Thank you for tying this back to scripture. It keeps the focus where it belongs.
Cynthia, thank you for sharing this. I agree with you 100% that China is hiding something. I’ve been reading for years that their underground facilities are massive, and nobody knows what’s inside. If they’re refusing to come to the table, that tells me they’ve got a lot more to lose by revealing the truth. What worries me most is the partnership you mentioned with Russia. That’s looking more real every day. The good news is, God is bigger than their schemes. Psalm 2:4 says, “The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.” That verse comforts me when I see these headlines.
