America has a heart problem, and God does not like it. The signs are everywhere—division, hatred, selfishness, and pride dominate the headlines. People are more focused on self than on serving others, and the results are devastating. Yet the Bible tells us that the condition of the heart matters most to God. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” If the heart is sick, everything in society will be sick.
When Love Is Missing
Let’s pause for some real talk. Imagine being a parent whose child is dying. The only doctor available is from a different race or background than you. Would it matter if that doctor were Black, White, or Hispanic? Of course not. If you love your child, you will accept help from anyone qualified to save their life. Yet in our daily lives, so many allow prejudice and pride to keep them from seeing the value of others.
Jesus himself gave us the standard: “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31). He did not say love only those who look like you, think like you, or come from your community. Love is the foundation of God’s law, and when we withhold it, we show just how far our hearts are from Him.
Division That God Hates
The Bible is clear that God hates division. In Proverbs 6:16-19, Scripture lists seven things the Lord detests, and one of them is “a person who stirs up conflict in the community.” Today we see people using race, politics, money, and even religion to separate what God intended to unite.
Marriage is one example. Yes, earthly marriage is important, but there is a deeper marriage God desires—the union of every believer with Him. Paul describes the Church as the bride of Christ in Ephesians 5:25-27. When people get in the way of others coming to God, when they distract or divide, they are standing in the way of that heavenly marriage. That is not just a mistake—it’s rebellion.
The Wages of Sin
Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” We are seeing this truth play out before our eyes. Death is everywhere—celebrities dying young, influencers passing suddenly, politicians struck by illnesses, families grieving. These are not random tragedies. They are reminders that sin carries a cost, and life without God leads to destruction.
Some look at these events and ask, “Why are so many dying?” The Bible already told us: the heart of man has turned cold. Jesus warned in Matthew 24:12, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” A cold heart leads to a dead soul. And without the Spirit of God, sickness, violence, and famine spread freely.
God Still Heals
But there is good news—God is still a healer. Exodus 15:26 declares, “I am the Lord, who heals you.” Sickness cannot thrive where the Spirit of God dwells. That’s why testimonies keep rising, even in dark times, of people being healed, delivered, and restored. God is using the hearts of many to share the gospel in this season. Even through platforms once thought to be distractions—social media, podcasts, YouTube—His Word is spreading.
It may look like the world is falling apart, but in reality, God is raising up a new generation of voices who are not ashamed of the gospel. Romans 1:16 reminds us, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”
A Heart Check for America
The truth is simple: America doesn’t just have political problems or economic problems. America has a heart problem. We cannot legislate love or buy unity with money. Until the heart changes, nothing else will. Ezekiel 36:26 gives hope: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” God is still in the business of heart transplants.
The question is, will we let Him? Will we put aside selfishness and pride long enough to see the humanity in one another? Will we repent of hate and division and let God heal our land? 2 Chronicles 7:14 lays out the formula clearly: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
A Call to Action
So where do we go from here? We start by guarding our hearts. We start by loving people regardless of their race, status, or background. We start by refusing to be distracted by the world’s divisions and standing firm on the unity of Christ. We start by opening our mouths and using our platforms—whether big or small—to point people back to God.
The hate in this world is real, but the love of God is stronger. The division in this world is loud, but the unity of Christ is louder. Death is here, but life is still available for those who turn to Him.
Yes, America has a heart problem. But God is still the cure. The question is: will we let Him heal us?

Renae, We love you here in Africa!! We solute you!!!
Sometimes people are so racist or hate themselves so badly until they are stupid. I am so glad that you broke this down. I would also like to add that indeed many celebrities are dying at an exceptional high rate I saw this young man yesterday
I have said many time that its TRUMP doing the devils work. He is so bent on dividing and starting wars. Some things were not a problem until he came in office. Many other eligious leaders are liars too. They sit back and say TRUMP is all right. No man is perfect only GOD is. They fail to call outr his wrong. Some of them scared to speak out!
You’re speaking life into a dying culture. God is raising up voices like yours to remind people that He’s the only healer. Keep going, Renae—we need this!
This is the message America needs right now. Hate won’t save us. Division won’t save us. Only Jesus will. I stand with you 100%, Renae.
You’re so right. It’s not just about earthly marriage, but about our marriage to God. Too many are distracted by the world and not focused on the covenant He wants with us.
I love how you broke it down, Renae. If we would only guard our hearts and live by scripture, we wouldn’t be so divided. God is using you to wake people up.
Powerful word. America thinks it has political and money problems, but the real issue is spiritual. A sick heart leads to a sick nation. Only God can heal us.
Yes!! People are so caught up in hate and pride that they don’t see they’re standing in the way of God’s will. You’re right, anyone who separates what God has joined is cursed.
Thank you, Renae, for speaking truth. Too many are blind to the signs—sickness, famine, influencers dying suddenly—it’s all showing us that we need to turn back to God.
Absolutely! If my child was on their deathbed, I wouldn’t care who the doctor was. All that matters is love and healing. That’s the point—why can’t people see that?
Preach Renae! You hit the nail on the head. God doesn’t look at race, color, or background—He looks at the heart. America really does have a heart problem and only God can fix it.”
