I was watching a video from Tabitha Speaks, and I’m not even going to sugarcoat it, what I saw really bothered me. It hit me in a way that just didn’t sit right at all. Watching that woman casually talk about how she felt good using a racial slur like that… not joking, not slipping up, but actually saying it proudly…..that’s disturbing.
And this is exactly the kind of thing people keep trying to act like doesn’t exist anymore.
It’s not just about one video. It’s not just about one person. It’s about a mindset that clearly still exists, and not even quietly either. The fact that someone felt comfortable enough to say that on video tells you everything you need to know. That kind of boldness doesn’t come from nowhere. It comes from a belief system that hasn’t been checked.
What really makes it worse is when situations like this happen and the consequences don’t seem to match the level of disrespect. People get exposed, maybe they lose a job, maybe they don’t — but either way, the damage is already done. The message is already out there. And then we sit around talking about “moving forward as a country.” How?
How are we supposed to move forward when people are still walking around with that kind of hate in their hearts? You can’t build unity on top of that. You can’t talk about progress while ignoring what’s still happening right in front of us.
And for me personally, it hits even deeper because I believe in God. And everything I’ve ever been taught is about love, respect, and treating people the right way. Not based on skin color. Not based on where they come from. Just basic humanity. So when I see stuff like this, it’s not just offensive, it’s completely backwards. People will say, “Oh, that’s just one person.” No, it’s not.
It’s a reflection of something bigger that we keep trying to avoid talking about. And until people start being honest about it, we’re going to keep seeing the same thing over and over again. This isn’t new. It’s just being recorded now. And honestly, that’s the part that should worry everybody.

I completely agree….💯💯because at this point it’s not even surprising anymore, it’s just exhausting. Every time you turn around, there’s another video, another person boldly showing their hatred like it’s something to be proud of. That’s the part that really gets me. It’s not hidden anymore. People are comfortable being openly racist, and that says a lot about what’s still going on beneath the surface.
And honestly, something has to change. It’s not enough to just call it out online and move on. There needs to be real consequences, especially when it comes to people holding positions of responsibility. If someone can openly speak like that, with that level of hate in their heart, they have no business representing or serving the public in any kind of job. Period.
I’m not saying people can’t grow or learn, but accountability has to come first. We can’t keep brushing things off or giving people passes when they show you exactly who they are. At some point, workplaces need to start weeding out individuals who carry that kind of mindset, because it affects everybody around them. If we really want change, it starts with not tolerating it anymore, anywhere.
