Over the last few months, I’ve noticed that whenever people post content that is critical of Trump, it seems much harder to find. Whether it’s articles, blog posts, videos, or discussions, it feels like a lot of it gets buried under everything else.
The crazy part is that I’m not just hearing this from one or two people. I’ve seen creators on YouTube talk about it. I’ve seen website owners talk about it. I’ve seen everyday people saying the same thing. So naturally, I decided to pay attention and see for myself.
I run my own platform, and I’ve posted content that discusses politics, current events, and issues that matter to me. After checking search results and monitoring traffic, I started asking myself why certain posts seemed almost impossible to find, even when I knew people were reading and engaging with them.
It feels like if you’re saying something positive, everything is fine. But if you’re questioning things or expressing concerns, suddenly your content isn’t getting the same visibility. That’s what bothers me.
I’m not saying everyone has to agree with me. I’m not saying people shouldn’t have different opinions. That’s what discussions are for. But when people start feeling like their voices are being pushed aside, that’s a problem.
What’s even more frustrating is that many independent creators don’t have the resources to fight back. We don’t have teams of lawyers. We don’t have millions of dollars. We don’t have giant corporations standing behind us. All we have is our voice and the ability to share our thoughts.
That’s one of the reasons why I believe so many people are creating their own communities and independent platforms. People want a place where they can speak freely without worrying about whether an algorithm will hide their content.
At the end of the day, I believe people should be able to have conversations, ask questions, and share opinions respectfully. Whether you’re Republican, Democrat, Independent, or none of the above, open discussion is important.
Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe there’s another explanation.
But the more people I talk to, the more I realize that I’m not the only one asking these questions.
