Ya Girl Renae is sharing some real insight in this Pep Talk, and one of the biggest things we need to talk about is negativity. At some point, you have to stop worrying about what everybody else is saying about you. Stop worrying about who doesn’t support you, who doesn’t understand what you’re doing, who doesn’t believe in your vision, or who might have something negative to say. At the end of the day, you are the one making the moves in your life, and God has got your back.

Sometimes we spend so much time thinking about everything that could possibly go wrong that we never give ourselves the opportunity to see what could go right. You can sit there and think about every negative thing about yourself. You can convince yourself that you’re not good enough, you’re not ready enough, you don’t have enough money, you don’t have enough followers, you don’t have enough support, or somebody else is already doing what you want to do. But while you’re sitting there thinking about all those reasons why you can’t do it, you’re also stopping yourself from getting started.
And that’s what this Pep Talk is really about. Sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and what God has for you isn’t another person. Sometimes it’s you.
You can become your own demise without even realizing it. Every time you talk yourself out of something, every time you allow fear to control you, and every time you worry more about people’s opinions than the direction God has given you, you’re putting another roadblock in your own way.
Everybody is not going to understand your journey. Everybody isn’t going to clap for you. Some people may even laugh at what you’re trying to build. So what? They don’t have to see the vision because it wasn’t given to them. You have to stop allowing people who aren’t walking your path to determine how far you’re willing to go on it.
If you believe God has placed something on your heart, then you’ve got to be willing to move. You may not have everything figured out. You may make mistakes. You may have to start small. You may even have moments when you question yourself. But you cannot spend your entire life waiting until you’re completely fearless before you finally take that first step.
That’s exactly what Ya Girl Renae’s Pep Talk is going to be aboutโreal conversations about getting your mind right, getting out of your own way, ignoring unnecessary negativity, trusting God, making moves, and becoming the person you’re capable of becoming.
Because sometimes you don’t need another person standing in your way. You’re already doing enough of that yourself.
It’s time to stop talking yourself out of your potential. Stop worrying about what everybody has to say. Stop creating a list of everything that’s supposedly wrong with you. Get up, make the move, trust the process, trust God, and start doing the things you know you’re supposed to be doing.
God has got your backโbut you’ve got to be willing to move your feet.
