Okay, y’all, I had to come on here and talk about this because the situation between Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley is getting messier by the minute. If you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, then you already know their divorce has not exactly been peaceful, and their finances and Encino home have become a huge part of the battle.

Now there is another development, and when I read it, I said, wait a minute—PK did WHAT?

According to a September 18 report from Reality Blurb, a company controlled by PK purchased the second deed of trust connected to the couple’s home for $950,000. Attorney Ronald Richards, whose comments were cited in the report, said the amount currently owed on that note is more than $1.2 million. Richards claims the move puts PK in a position to collect what he’s owed ahead of Dorit and could ultimately leave her with nothing from the home’s sale.

Now, let me make something clear because I don’t want to tell y’all something that isn’t accurate: PK did not secretly buy their $6.5 million house out from under Dorit. That’s not what is being reported. The couple purchased the Encino property for approximately $6.48 million back in 2019. What PK reportedly did recently was have a company he controls acquire a debt secured against that property.

But listen, that distinction doesn’t make this divorce any less messy to me.

This house has already been at the center of months of fighting between these two. The property has reportedly carried more than $6 million in mortgage debt and faced the possibility of foreclosure. PK previously went to court seeking control over selling it, while Dorit pushed back and disputed his version of their financial situation. In August, a judge reportedly ordered the property to be listed for sale.

And this is where I start thinking about the children. Dorit and PK have two kids together, and Dorit has been living in this home with them. Earlier this summer, Dorit accused PK of trying to force her and the children out while not providing adequate financial support. PK, meanwhile, accused Dorit of excessive spending and failing to contribute to the mortgage. Those are allegations from each side, and I’m not sitting here pretending I know everything happening behind closed doors.

Still, as somebody watching all of this unfold, I just keep thinking: how did a marriage with this much money around it end up here? We’re talking about a multimillion-dollar home, foreclosure threats, millions in debt, accusations about spending, arguments over who should be paying the bills, and now PK reportedly putting himself in the position of being a creditor connected to the very house Dorit has been living in.

That’s a LOT.

And when children are involved, this stops feeling like just another juicy Housewives divorce storyline to me. Whatever problems Dorit and PK have with each other, those kids are still connected to both of them. They didn’t create the financial problems, they didn’t create the divorce, and they shouldn’t have to carry the emotional weight of their parents battling over money and a home.

At the same time, I’m also not going to pretend this entire situation is necessarily PK simply taking something that belongs to Dorit. There are debts against this property, there have been disagreements about who paid what, and the courts are involved. What somebody ultimately receives from the sale can depend on the debt, liens, reimbursements, legal rulings and whatever is eventually determined in their divorce.

But honey, this situation is getting GOOD—and by good, I mean messy.

I’m going to be watching this one closely because I don’t think we’ve heard the last of this house situation at all. With RHOBH filming and Dorit and PK still fighting through their divorce, something tells me there is a whole lot more that’s going to come out before this is over.
