What computer is everyone using for Sims 2 Gameplay and is it holding up?!

Okay so I gotta ask because I KNOW I’m not the only one dealing with this…
I’ve been playing Sims 2 for about a year now, and listen… the amount of downloads?? Mods, CC, houses, clothes, hacks—it’s getting out of hand 😩
At first it was fun, like “okay just a few cute outfits”… then next thing you know your Downloads folder is looking CRAZY. Now my game is starting to move slow, loading takes forever, and my computer be sounding like it’s about to take off like a plane 💀
Like seriously… is this just part of the Sims life or am I doing something wrong??
So I’m trying to figure this out now before my whole setup crashes on me…
What kind of computer are y’all using to run Sims 2 smoothly?
Are you on a gaming PC or just a regular laptop?
Where is the BEST place to get a good PC that can actually handle mods without lag?
And how are y’all organizing all these files without losing your mind??
I’m ready to upgrade if I have to because I refuse to give up my game 😭
Acer Nitro ( N50- 650) Desktop, I can run it all and there isn’t a hitch.
i7 13th gen, RTX 3050 ( graphics card). 16GB RAM , 500 GB SSD
Still have to add a bigger SSD and more RAM. For now it’s pretty smooth. Even with a lot of mods and CC. I also have all packs, save maybe 6 kits. Graphics on Ultra. Even big huge cluttered lots it’s fine.
