I literally work in the most toxic place I’ve ever seen in my whole entire life. I was actually at work today and I heard one of the supervisors talking to one of the workers as if they were a child. It was so embarrassing. I was embarrassed for her, but also it was heartbreaking. I don’t know if you guys ever faced anything like this in the workplace, but truly this was very upsetting for me. I literally thought she was crying by the end of the conversation.
Unfortunately, this is becoming more common than people realize. A toxic supervisor can destroy an entire workplace culture. People stop speaking up, stop caring, and eventually start looking for another job. Respect goes a long way. 🙄

What bothers me is that management often wonders why employee turnover is so high, but they never look at how supervisors treat people. Most employees don’t quit jobs—they quit bad managers. I’ve seen great workers leave because they got tired of being disrespected.

I’ve experienced this before, and it’s one of the reasons I left my last job. Some supervisors think being loud and disrespectful makes them look powerful, but it actually makes them look unprofessional. Nobody deserves to be talked down to in front of their coworkers.
